I am in my early 50s and live with my partner of 25 years, Jenny. We share our home with our dog, Kimi, and two cats. We live in Faversham, near Canterbury in Kent. I worked for a bank for 20 years after which I spent 15 years in learning support for students with special educational needs. I am ‘in between jobs/taking early retirement’ at present, which has finally given me the time to devote to the completion of my first book ‘A Far Cry From Summer’. Books I most enjoyed as a child include Kenneth Grahame’s ‘The Wind in the Willows’, HG Wells’ short stories, and Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes. I have written on and off since I was about 20, but nothing noteworthy - although I did have a couple of short stories and a Madonna concert review published!
