I spent many years as a biomedical engineer, working at Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. During my last few years at JSC, I experienced a series of agonizing tragedies: the loss of the Columbia Shuttle in 2003(I'd worked with the crew for three years), the death of my mother in 2004, the death of my father-in-law and the loss of my job, both in 2005. Throughout these crises, God walked with me and drew me closer to Him. My purpose for Storms of Life is to lead women to apply God's Word to their difficult situations and to encourage them to draw close to God for strength and healing. I'm a child of God, a daughter, a sister, and a grandmother. My joy is sharing my faith with other women, through friendships and as a writer. My husband of over 40 years and I live in west Texas. We have two daughters and two perfect grandchildren, all of whom have the audacity to live in the northeast. In between his work and my writing, we spend our days quietly serving our adopted, retired-racing greyhound.

My first bible study, Storms of Life, won the Award of Excellence in Christian Literature at the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference in 2007.
Storms of Life also won 2007 BRMCWC.
