It seems inevitable Mariel would write. When she was growing up, her parents frequently caught her reading by moonlight or by flashlight long past my bedtime. She devoured books! The library was (and still is) one of her favorite places. She found she wanted to write books and create magic with words. In the eighth grade, she saved her money- allowance, babysitting money, birthday money, Christmas money- to purchase her first typewriter so she could be a “writer.” The pressures of life set in and Mariel abandoned that dream for awhile until she could pick it up again. She enjoys reading a wide variety of genres. But when it came to writing, everyone told her to “write what she knows.” So, she decided to write about romance. It’s something she knew. Everyone does. It’s abouts feelings. We all have them. We all want to love and be loved in return. So her first foray into commercial fiction was romance, Surreender of Trust, the first in her Surrender Series. Mariel hopes you enjoy reading her stories and will do her best to entertain you. Mariel lives in Florida with my husband of nearly thirty years. The kids have left home now, and, fortunately for her, Ishe is still enjoying her own romance with her husband.  She loves being near the water where she can snorkel, shell, fish, and walk the beach with my husband.  Marel is a lover of good books and boats, and most especially, a good book  on a boat.
