I've heard that writing can be taught, I personal believe it is a gift from the giver of all gifts. I believe it is a creative vessel coursing through the heart of a writer and the desire to share that heart with the world is what come out in books and other writings. Writing oozed out of me when I was about eleven or twelve. I fell in love with the song 'Wildfire' and wanted to know the words to it. I listened to the radio everyday waiting for it to come on so I could write it down, the information highway had not come about yet, so pen and paper became my friends. I moved on to poems and then plays, I swear the TV drama 'Any Day Now' was taken from a play I wrote in Junior high, called 'Friendship',but I won't tell if they don't. Anyway I have loved writing ever since. Although I have not been published yet, I am on my way. I used to be very shy and I didn't want people reading my work, but over the years, I realize that this is what God wants of me, it's my purpose in this life. I have been influenced by many in the writing world today. I love anything having to do with Christianity, maybe because that is my genre, I love books on writing, because that's my craft, and I love reading poems, they just fill your heart with love, don't they. I also like reading blogs, I have one coming soon as well. Well, that's a little about me, looking forward to meeting many of you. Thanks Authors Den for opening up a world to belong.
