I have been driving coaches in the entertainment touring industry since the 1980s. I've been with the Dave Matthews Band camp for 12 years. Before joining the DMB team, I toured with a range of musical personalities, such as Van Halen, Barbara Mandrell, Eddie Murphy, The Grateful Dead, Aerosmith and many more. I've experienced just about all aspects of human behavior, as one can imagine, and in a variety of situations, from shocking to heart-warming.  My journey is revealed through stories of a life that led me from a troubled beginning, to my own experiences as a musician, and later my successful career on the road. Music and travel saved me from a life that might have been headed down the wrong path had I not followed the rhythm and the road.  The idea to write a book about my life and work was sparked after repeatedly hearing, “Wow, you should write a book!” I also chose to write Tales from the Trails of a Rock ‘n’ Roll Bus Driver to dispel the myth that working as a bus driver for entertainers is just one big party. It’s work – hard work coupled with long hours and months away from home. I can’t imagine doing anything else and am grateful for the opportunities and the beautiful places my career has brought him. Most importantly, I wrote the book for my three children, so they could fully understand why their dad was gone so much and what he was doing.
