Major influences for me as far as writing is concerned is Ray Bradbury, M.R. James, Richard Matheson and Jerome Bixby. I would, as a teenager, stay up until 1 or 2 A.M. reading my fathers science fiction collection. Mike Hammer was always around too for some good nose smashing crime stories. Vintage horror, for my taste, is far better than some of the modern 'slasher' horror. Alfred Hitchcock type suspence , in my opinion, draws the viewer/reader into the story as a partner in the storytelling process. In the past I wrote horror and mystery scripts for small press comic book companies under various pen names. At this time I'm editing a book of poems by English poet Mr. Watson and have two books on Amazon consisting of selected short stories with two books in the works: ' The Fleet Street Horror and ' One Hundred Crows' In addition I'm working on an illustrated steam-punk novel: ' Doc Holliday and his Mudd Creek Regulators.'
