Most Americans hate politics. That is the universal truth behind the very origin of our republic. We do not strive to make the decisions ourselves, but to elect those to act in our behalf. As the nation becomes more disenfranchised with the state of affairs in Washington, I am inspired to write about a reality where an individual inspires voters instead of disgusting them. Money has always bought influence in American politics, but the Information Age has introduced social media as a tool to for average people to communicate, organize, and participate. In many respects, the world is only now being introduced to the power of these tools. In the Michael Bennit series of books, it will be shown how social media can be used as a medium to affect positive change, not only comment on it. I have long had interests in American history, politics, and sociology, My writing is the crosssroads of those influences while telling a stories that are engaging, educuational, and even funny.
