Growing up by the sea in Kent, back in the 1960s, it was my ambition to become a writer, and I wrote a great deal. But I rarely wrote fiction. In 2004 I moved to Dorset, and fell under the creative influence of the wonderful Jurassic Coast. The result was a blossoming of short stories, poems, song lyrics, and, at last, a novel. Isle of Larus was published in 2013, and I am now working on the sequel.
