Patrick J. Dunn has written numerous short stories and two novels. An avid fan of reading and writing since the first grade, his interests evolved from a pastime to a career. His career now being to author The Magus Trilogy books. While he continues to write, he plans on pursing a Ph.D. degree in general human anatomy with designs on becoming a professor of human anatomy. Outside of writing, Patrick J. Dunn thoroughly enjoys watching TV shows such as House M.D., 30 Rock, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Modern Family. As for music, Patrick loves listening to the piano, with his favorite piano artists being the masterful George Winston and the late great Dave Brubeck. Reading is also a favorite activity. Among his favorite books are: The Lord of the Rings books by J.R.R. Tolkien, The Shannara books by Terry Brooks, and the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling. Additional favorite books include: The Inheritence Cycle books by Christopher Paolini, Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes, Redwall by Brian Jacques, Nomadin by Shawn P. Cormier, and The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg. Patrick J. Dunn has remarked that all of his favorite authors, as well as their books, have kept him returning to their work time and time again just because of the sheer brillance of their writing skills.
