I've always thought I was born about 150 years too soon. The old West is where I feel at home. Telling stories about the life and times of the 1800's gives me purpose and direction and much fulfillment. In a way I'm trying preserve history for generations who have no idea what it must've been like. I grew up watching TV westerns in the 50's, 60's, and 70's. To me it was a golden era. So it's no wonder that cowboys fill my stories. And of course, a self-respecting cowboy has to have a lady by his side so all my books have to have a love story. After all, love is what makes the world go 'round. I got my start when I entered the New Historical Voice Contest offered by Dorchester Publishing. I didn't win the contest but they offered me a contract for my first book. That was KNIGHT ON THE TEXAS PLAINS. From there I published two more full-length with a third due out in January 2015 with Sourcebooks Publishing. I also have seven short stories in different anthologies. I love what I do. It's the greatest job that has so many rewards.
