I have always loved to read and write. I was recently challenged by friends to pick up my pen and write my own mystery...so I did. And now I'm hooked. I would love to be able to write full time, but my other passion is my gardening business and I'm not ready to give that up yet. So I have combined the two and created a fictional southern town where cozy mysteries happen. Since I love cats and dogs I made sure to include them in my series Citrus Beach Mysteries. I find that I do my best writing when I am outside in my garden or sitting at the river/beach. With no distractions, I can write for hours! But some of my distractions are the best part of my life: my husband of 32 years and my 18 year old son! My husband works with me in my gardening business and he has been a huge help with research for my writing. My son is getting ready to held off to college, where he will be studying journalism (guess it runs in the family!) My family is completed with 2 sweet old cats and a spoiled beagle. Although I grew up in the north, my heart belongs to my adopted home in the south. My goals as a writer are not all that lofty-I simply want to give my reader an afternoon or weekend of enjoyable reading.
