Carolyn Boyd grew up in Parker County, Texas, and lived most of her life in the north Texas area depicted in her novel 'The Langston Saga.'
Ms. Boyd's great-great grandfather moved his family to Texas prior to the Civil War. The stories handed down from generation to generation depicting the challenges and hardships they encountered while living on the raw Texas frontier were the inspiration for this, her first novel. She was also encouraged by teachers and friends who read the manuscript before it was published. Their suggestions were very helpful.
