Since early youth, she has written poetry and later added short stories and novellas. The Boy Who Walked A Way began shortly after 9/11. Ideas of a sancturary that  a young boy could flee to led to  a book length story.The second book is related to the first one. A noir tale told in a humorous vein  Night Rumbles is a story of the inhabitants of night. She is an Appalachian and lives in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina with her husband Richard.  Three grandchildren and two great grandchildren provide lots of material to  write about. Each day finds her at the computer writing and stopping at intervals to admire the profuse greeneryof the surrounding hills. Sometimes they  beckon, and she goes for a ramble to admire the flora and the fauna. Aside from accolades related to my mental health work my books have won many fine reviews and editorial comments. Recently The Boy Who Walked A Way gained recognition by being awarded the Indie B.R.A.G. Medallion.
