Theresa was a victim of domestic violence. She has gone through years of therapy, counseling, and awareness programs. She began writing the TO HIDE from DEATH series as a part of that therapy. She enjoys giving lectures and has made public statements for the governor of her state in the hopes of ending this tragedy. She also speaks at seminars on the prevention of domestic violence, believing that forewarned is forearmed.      Now divorced, Theresa lives on a small farm in a quiet community with her four daughters. She enjoys writing, family game and movie nights with her children, outdoor activities, horseback riding, civil war site exploring and ghost hunting.      Previously being the sole proprietor of a cleaning service, Theresa became disabled after her domestic violence encounter. She donates 20% of all book sales to help other victims of domestic violence.
