In graduate school, I fell in love with the Transcendentalist movement. I have always been inspired by nature, so authors like Emerson, Thoreau, and Hawthorne. I still tend to draw a lot of my inspiration from nature, especially in my poetry; however, I also write from my experience and often with religious undertones.
