I began studying the potential future of the human being a few years ago. Nothing formal—just for fun. Then I came upon an article about transhumanism, written by Christian author Britt Gillette. The combination—faith and weird science—was irresistible. My imagination took wing. I read more about the subject and learned of the active pursuit of some forward-thinking people to evolve the human race. Some of them work for our government. Seriously. Soon this character, Chase, roamed through my thoughts and dreams with his story of becoming the world’s first transhuman. Being a Christian, I had to examine the ramifications of creating a techno-sapien race. How would the church respond? Well, the church in my imaginary world (only twenty years in the future) has gone underground. Wake the Dead from Harbourlight Books/Pelican Book Group is not so much about the science or the dystopian society, but about the man and what happens in his mind after he gets a computer in his head. 

I've won some awards for fiction and creative non-fiction. Wake the Dead is my first novel.
