Information
Wendy Shreve received her BA at Smith College and MA at University of Montana. Along with teaching ESL at schools and universities in Europe, Asia, and the United States, her professional experience has included working as a freelance consultant, publicist and copy writer. Cape Cod has inspired her to write the short story, Lamentations, published by Hamilton Stone for their Quarterly Review, and her first novel, SHADOWWATER and its sequel, DARK SEA, Shadowwater II published Fall 2014.

Many authors have influenced me including Ernest Hemingway, Willa Cather, D.H. Lawrence, Jane Austen and Edgar Allen Poe. However, I’d say Norman Maclean’s masterful prose in A River Runs Through It propelled me to pick up my pen. I read his novel for pleasure when I attended graduate school at the University of Montana. Maclean’s book, along with my love of Missoula and Glacier National Park, all inspired me to write an unpublished short story.
