Born in Vancouver, BC, I grew up poor and worked my way through university (UBC)graduating with a B.Ed degree in 1968 with 4 majors. I taught HS Social Studies for 21 years before quitting to become a full time artist(pen&ink). After touring for 15 years, I settled down in Port Coquitlam, BC. As A promise to my dying mother I wrote 4 consecutive his/fic novels in 5 months using the US Civil War (Pre-present-post) as a backdrop. I've spent the last 7 years cleaning them up, researching and travelling across America. They will hopefully be out as a boxed set next year. I love writing, especially poetry. My first book of poems has just been published by Sarah Book Publishing called AMERICANS R US, a collection of 100 short poems and BW pics. Each poem has a 200 word intro on Americana. It's purpose is to interest students who might not be interested in traditional American hist/geog texts. I'm motivated to write, because I'm interested in exploring the human psyche, as to its processes good or bad. Becoming totally immersed in a character is a baptism in reality, especially if the character is your total opposite. It is a challenge, one that I look forward to in discovering the real person behind the façade.
