Ming Wei won his first ever book award in May 2015 for his 1st ever published book “The Whale Kingdom Quest” upon the website www.thebookawards.com (see printed winners archive section for May 2015). Ming-Wei as always been a very huge fan of science fiction which is why Ming-Wei will begin his author career producing science-fiction related stories. Ming-Wei writing style is that he likes to write books that link together in following on series, instead of one-shot standalone books. Ming-Wei takes a very keen interest in sea-life and the oceans which inspired him to create a science fiction novel based mainly upon sea-life, with the exceptions of birds. Ming-Wei wanted to create an environment/futuristic world that can provide a base in which to provide multiple story lines and published books. Hence the author Ming-Wei created the Ocean World series, which began in 2014. The ocean world is an environment infested by variety types of human origin/caused pollution. The first book in the series “The Whale Kingdom Quest” is both an adventure, and an over-all introduction to the ocean world, within this first novel of the series you get a description of the environment that sea-creatures now find themselves living in, you get an introduction to all the separate fractions with in the ocean world, and a more in-depth look at some of the leading characters. Ming-Wei plans to write further books in the series during the forthcoming years, already 4 more books have completed manuscripts, but are not yet published.
