I have been professionally writing for 14 years. I got my first story published when I was 20 and since have published 10 books and over 40 short stories, articles, poems, and newsletters. I have won four writing contests, including the winning excerpt that is now featured in my newest release, Blind Fate. I write for children, young adults and adult. Other children and young adult titles include, "Monster Down the Street" in Linden Hills, Beyond Time & Place. A story in the teenage anthology, "Memoirs of Meanness". The Schoolhouse Kids is for ages 10 & up. My pride and joy has been The Modules series, featuring six books of the thrilling Catina Salsbury, with The Reform, The Modules, Intelligent Design, and Conspiracy Design currently available. My adult books included Glimp$es, a psychological thriller, and Blind Fate, a killer thriller. Childhood inspired reading, and reading inspired writing stories from the moment I learned how to write. One of my very first stories was about a lost goose that was found across the forbidden highway. Against the parents' rules, crossing that highway and getting that goose was far more important in the child's eyes. I mention this now, and exclusively here, because of the moral of that story following me through life. To be a writer, you have to go against the rules, face the forbidden and feared, and run fast and hard with determination. So that is what I have done and what I continue to do, having juggled a multitude of jobs, college, and single parenting while pursuing my writing. Reading taught me and inspired me throughout so many things in life, and I've never stopped wanting to pay that forward to others through my own works.
