In the past I’ve always said that bad writing inspired me to write, but I now know that isn’t true. The one thing that inspires me to write is me. Without me, there can be no writing. My inspiration comes from within me; I must have a desire and a need to write. The inspiration behind my latest short story anthology, originated from the one I wrote before it.
My writing process isn’t about structure. I write things as and when I need to. If the ending comes to me first then I write it. As soon as it pops into my head, I write it down. I don’t set myself time limits or dates as to when something should be completed by. A story or article is finished when I can’t write any more.
