Background
Information
My many years of teaching fifth graders have helped me develop a love of good fiction for kids. I want to write books that fifth graders through adults will find entertaining, quirky, and exciting. Being a huge fan of all things bigfoot, even before all the hype erupted these last few years, I decided to write my first novel about a kid's quest to find a bigfoot, and the surprising twists that take his journey in a bizarre and new direction.
My writing is also heavily influenced by some of my favorite children's books and writers, just to list a few: pretty much anything by Neil Gaiman, Holes by Louis Sachar, A Wrinkle in Time by Madeline L'Engle, Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt, the list goes on and on.
