Daniel F. Sarpong, Ph.D., has over 24 years of experience in education. Through his profession as a Biostatistician and his academic training, Dr. Sarpong has become a Master Teacher and Mentor in Statistics, Epidemiology, Research and Professional Development. Dr. Sarpong earned a B.Sc. in mathematics from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, a M.S. in mathematics from New Mexico Highlands University and a Ph.D. in Biometry with a minor focus in Epidemiology from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. Completion of this series of training workbooks and manuals in the area of statistics has long been a goal of Dr. Sarpong. He realized that this data analysis manual could be a tool used by students, researchers and clinicians to achieve the following: 1) Enhance the understanding of statistical concepts; 2) Further the understanding of appropriate manipulation of research data and its significance; 3) Strengthen the data analytic skills; and 4) Improve the skills of communicating with a research statistician.
