After starting writing for various newspapers and magazines about sport and the sporting industry, I found I had a talent for story telling. Eventually I got around to the challenge of writing a book. Inspired by working on the pipelines in New Zealands Taranaki Region and meeting some of the strangest characters and making some of the best mates, The Great Sea Scam took shape. Whether it was a grand plan that had laid as a seed for a number of years or it was a scam worth investigating further, the story of 5 mates and the ingenious plan to scam the government was born. Driven by the inspirational words of my late father, the dream of publishing my first novel, after 40 years of collating the thoughts has finally become a reality. Whilst this in itself is a personal achievement, it is rewarding to have had excellent comments and feedback from readers, some patiently waiting for the next one. Must be time to collate the other thoughts!
