With a love affair with the written word, the encouragement of the ninety plus members of my book club, and inspiration from authors like Elizabeth Strout who ignited a smoldering fire, I embarked on a five year journey to create my debut novel, Life in a Box. My background, far from literary except for my appetite for reading, I tossed aside self-doubt and the enormity of the task, and set out full throttle to accomplish my dream.
