Joe Solomon earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of St. Thomas, followed by both master’s and doctoral degrees from Rice University. Joe’s supernatural thriller The Darkness: Giger, Texas is scheduled for release October 3, 2017. He has also completed a second novel and several short stories that arise from the macabre. An award-winning screenwriter, Joe has completed seventeen screenplays, many of which have either won or been finalists in film festival competitions, ranging from Sundance to the Screenwriting Showcase Awards. He has completed nine stage plays of various lengths as well and has been very active in the independent film industry, directing four short films, one feature film (post production), and six music videos.
