I started writing at a very young age, 8 or 9 years old I think. Mostly they were poems or short essays. Often, these were directed to my mother, who has always been my best supporter. Sometimes, when my imagination really got going, I could write for hours and be totally captured in the worlds I built. As a small child, my imagination always caused me to look out the window while in school, not paying attention to the teacher's lessons and got into trouble for doing so. I grew up in a military family, so traveled and lived around the world. I was surrounded by different cultures and languages all the time. I think this added to my character and helped me always to keep a broader view. I have been writing intriguing and exciting stories for over 40 years, many of which nave been incorporated into documentaries, films and publications covering a wide range of venues from children's stories to adult fiction.
