B.J. Thompson is a North-Irish Canadian writer, raised in the Lake Country district of Ontario, Canada, daughter of an RCMP Constable. B. J. attended both the university of Victoria and Calgary, graduating with a B.A. in Language Arts.
Being Irish, funeral wakes were very much a part of her childhood, so death and its many mysteries were well ingrained at an early age.
An early lover of the 70s historical novel writers such as Michener, Wouk and Jones, B. J. attempts to emulate their process by weaving fictional characters and scenes into real life events or around actual icons from the past while examining the process of death and how only in those fleeting and final moments ultimate truth in life can be found.
