Herb J. Smith II is a computer programmer and author who enjoys writing science fantasy. Among his three degrees is a bachelor’s degree in English Literature. While the least practical of the lot, it is the degree that has proven the most fulfilling. Keepers of the Dawn is the author’s first novel and third published work.
Although now a computer programmer, Herb has previously worked at a myriad of jobs, ranging from field hand and construction worker to patent attorney and law clerk. Born and raised in Central Illinois, Herb moved to Jacksonville, Florida, shortly after his thirtieth birthday. It is there that he currently resides with his wife, Jeri, and two short-tailed cats.
