I majored in Education with an emphasis in Language Arts & English at James Madison University.  I taught Language Arts and Social Studies in elementary and middle school for thirty years. After retiring in 2009 and adopting my dog Dillon, I began writing stories about his capers based on true events in my life. The animals in my stories are all actual pets in our family. Always passionate about dogs and rescues in particular, writing children’s stories about them seems to be a perfect fit. My Dillon series has three books for sale on Amazon. No Room for Dillon, Dillon’s Big Adventure, & Dillon Meets Ollie, in paperback and on Kindle.

I belonged to the Coffeehouse Tours author group while living in Las Vegas, NV. We shared our books with the public at various coffee house locations throughout the year. I promoted local self-published and Indie authors whose books were featured in OneMillionBooksin100Days.com, in Las Vegas, NV. My books were featured in promotions on The Fussy Librarian’s newsletter in August, September and October of 2020. They are also featured on All Authors on Amazon, and received five star ratings from Reader’s Favorites. In 2021 my husband and I, along with Dillon and Ollie, relocated to Wickenburg, AZ, where I continue to support and promote rescue dogs as a volunteer at our local humane society.
