Wide background of experience from factory work to bus driving to librarian to ministry and others in between. Writing started before I could read as I lay on living room floor looking at "Tarzan" and "Buck Rogers" and making up stories to go with the pictures. Such imaginative construction continued most of my life, but without thinking of actually writing anything down until, having read all the Oz books to y children, they wanted more. After reading 52 Oz books and having been trained in literary criticism, I thought I could do a good job of imitating Baum and/or Thompson's style and wrote "Toto and the Cats of Oz" for them. They loved it and so did I. In the process, I found that I would wake up with new ideas for new Oz books. Ever since, they just keep flowing and soon ideas for mysteries and Science fiction books started coming -- a\day and night, almost 24 hours a day. I do not believe in writer's block. I seem to have writer's diarrhea. I think only the really good writers get writer's block. there are three things I enjoy above all others -- my wife's cooking, driving and writing.
