She never felt safe at home as a young girl, and didn't understand why when she finally escaped she wasn't safe in the big wide world either ...effectively jumping out of the frying pan into the fire!

Writing allows me to share with several hundred people my views, experience, hope, concerns, and ideas for improving our world. As an educator, I could do no less than to attempt to connect with the rest of the world through the magical invention of writing.

As I woke up this morning, I looked up the obituaries section of the paper, and I realized that my name was not there. My creator has given me another opportunity to do one more thing, to make one more contribution to humanity.
