Here I can share with you my passion……writing. You will find information on my newest books, a little about my background, and hopefully other facts you may find helpful. I have in latter years, become totally engrossed in writing and reading. I actually hated it when I was in grade school, even held back a year because I couldn’t read. So what's happened? Am I subconsciously trying to prove my teacher wrong? These past years I have loved reading and writing. When I sit behind a computer keyboard, words come from somewhere above me, and out my finger tips. What a marvelous thing, the written word. Books (other than my own) have become my best friends. There are so many beautiful things in the world to see. So many feelings we have inside to share with others. What a joy it is to write of them. Everyone has a story lurking down deep. I wish everyone would try to express it,write it down for all to see. Perhaps this web site and my books will inspire you to do so. If so, I will feel I have accomplished a purpose in life. I moved to Florida in my forties where I became involved in elder health care. I worked as an activity director for an assisted living facility, an adult day care. As well as a caregiver for fourteen years for my dear friend with Alzheimer’s, I facilitated Alzheimer’s support groups.

Growing up in a poor family on a large piece of property, I had a happy childhood, hiding out in trees or running through woods. I helped with farming and collecting eggs from the chicken coop. This was a great experience, although, watching a pet chicken run around without its head, before becoming Sunday dinner, wasn’t my favorite sight. Our family lived off the land and I learned from this, which led me to my first paying job. At age nine I went to work on the farm a few blocks from home, picking string beans, earning twenty-five cents a bushel. For me, the greatest ‘pay’ was riding the farm horses.

I DID write several short stories in grade school, one which was printed in our local newspaper. I still live in Florida and write every day. Some of it you may see--most of it not--but I am living to write and loving it.
