I seek only to write the kind of Poetry I enjoy reading. That which (lying down, convulsing) stands up, shakes the sleep from its icy cheeks, and kicks (or sometimes kisses) me awake. My background is mostly in circus/theater. I have worked with numerous underground circuses i.e. Knights of Indulgence Theater United States(KITUS) as well as Surreal Sirkus (Asheville, NC) and with members of Nomadic Discordia. (SF and beyond.) My professional resume is a bit splotchy but includes years of building/woodworking experience (including award winning work in SF,CA.) Acting, Lighting and Technical direction/ assistance in theatres around the country. I travel often. Perhaps the greatest influences on my writing are many of "the Beats" and their predecessors the Surrealists. I am also a huge fan of Thomas, Hesse, Rimbaud, Shelley, O'Hara, Bowles, Cave, Waits, Waters and of course Whitman. I enjoy many other contemporaries who are just too numerous to list. Perhaps one day...

I have been completely sober (this time) for 1 week...Oh and i won the spelling bee once, but that was a long time ago.
