The book chronicles my life experiences from growing up on RAF bases and holidaying in the South Wales valleys at my Grandparents homes to joining the British Army at sixteen. I have included my experiences in the 2nd btn Royal Green Jackets. Two tours of Northern Ireland in the eighties had not prepared me for what I was to find when I began a career with the British prison service in 1992. A friendship I struck up with charlie bronson and my hatred of bullying in all forms made me write my experiences. It has never been done before or again a prison officer breaking ranks to bring you some of the shocking truth of what can and does go on behind the closed world of our crumbling Prison system.
