After working as a freelance journalist and humor columnist for more than a decade, I began writing full-time at age 40. My first book, Driving on the Wrong Side of the Road (2006) became an Amazon category best-seller. This collection of humor essays offers a light-hearted look at misadventures in travel, home repairs, and every-day life. Deedee Divine's Totally Skewed Guide to Life, my second collection of humor essays, was released in 2008 and nominated as a ForeWord Book of the Year. In 2009, this title won the International Books Awards (humor category).  My third book, Stilettos No More takes a fun look at midlife and the wardrobe and other challenges that accompany this passage. Though I enjoy writing humor, I am equally drawn to fiction and sometimes like to tell more serious stories. My latest title, When Horses Had Wings, is one such tale. This book, inspired by my earlier years as a pregnant teen and high school dropout, follows the growth of a young mother who strives to escape her dysfunctional family and abusive marriage. All of these titles are available in paperback and Kindle format.
