I first got the idea for poetry from one of my brothers high school girlfriends and shortly after that learned I was actually able to write them also. They have been a wonderful release for me as many of them are based from my life experiences. I through out the years have also written many for people having trouble expressing themselves and asked me to help. I found the "how did you know to write me this way?" response very rewarding, and so I kept doing it. Now I hope that this collection is helpful to anyone needing solace, comfort, laughter or just to have their mind opened.

I have recieved Golden Poet awards. And was once contacted by the free downtown Portland newspaper "The News Weekly" and paid to let them print my poem "You Don't Understand"
