LadyGray has crafted enchanting poems, humorous prose and delightfully dark stories for over twenty years. Defined as a Wordsmith, she continues to captivate the reader enticing them to explore further into her imaginary realm. Since 1999, her creative and unique style of writing has earned her various awards as well as critical claim from her peers such as: "Full of passion and powerful statements", "Beautiful and spellbinding", and "truly a Mistress of words". After reading a personalized handmade copy of her childrens story "White Holly"; her family, friends and co-workers have given rave reviews calling it an "Enchanting and wonderful tale". LadyGray and illustrater D.A. Melvin are currently developing a hardbound-full color 2nd edition of the just released paperback childrens tale "White Holly" for whom her daughter - Shawny is the inspiration. Living most of her childhood in small New England towns in the woods of Quechee, Vermont and West Lebanon, New Hampshire; those times continue on to be fond memories. In 1975, she moved with her family to the city life in Northern Virginia. She attended an acting school at 14 where she developed a love for the Arts. LadyGray began writing poetry and short tales at 14. Her creativity flowed late in the evening where she would let the perimeters of her mind and imagination come together in words of symmetry. This eccentric Poetess storyteller is fascinated by the weird, strange and unusual realms of Gothic, fantasy, and medieval lore. She has been known to ponder through grave yards, to frolic through forests and escape to the tides of the Atlantic and Pacific Seas. Her inspirations are: Shakespeare, Arthur Rimbaud, Edgar A. Poe, Anne Rice, Stephen King, Dr. Seuss, H.P. Lovecraft and my mentor- J.R.R. Tolkien.
