Even as a young girl, along with swashbucking tales of adventure, I was intrigued by and drawn to book and movie characters such as Mr. Lucky, The Thin Man, Peter Gunn and the indomitable Perry Mason. My first career followed the footsteps of Della Street as a legal secretary/paralegal for top-notch criminal defense attorneys representing such high-profile clients as Timothy Leary and The Brotherhood of Eternal Love. My second career as a Court Reporter with Orange County Superior Court was spent in criminal trial courts reporting cases ranging from burglary to capital homicide. Having spent so many years viewing the darker side of life I confess to an enjoyment of writing, and reading, the genre of romance/suspense.
