I am a writer from an early age, as Grandmother told me that I 'sang' my rhymes from the tender age of seven. My English teachers were major influences in my writing, along with my Great Grandmother who would spend hours telling me of my Cherokee Indian heritage. While I write of many things, my Native American Indian heritage poetry is the nearest to my heart. I am now a published poetess with a book titled, 'Out of the Whispering Winds', it is a collection of some of my heritage poetry that reaches out and touches the reader.
