Kashan Robinson who prefers to go simply by her first name Kashan was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Early on while in high school she discovered her strong passion and desire to write. One day her Social Studies teacher opted to get young students involved in internships strongly based on their particular interest and career goal. Kashan realizing that she loved to express herself through writing chose to take part in an internship as a writer for a high school newsletter which circulated throughout the city written by young students on various topics. As a columnist she later recognized the boundaries that existed prohibiting her free expression. After consulting with her mentor he suggested she go into freelance writing. Walking away disheartened and believing possibly journalism wasn’t for her she began seeking new interest. After attending Virginia State University in Petersburg V.A, majoring in Business Administration and still not fully clear on her position in writing she chose to channel her skill and talents toward the business of entertainment. Hoping to find and outlet for expression and loving the business of entertainment Kashan finally found her place while working under the mentorship of producer greats Teddy Riley, rapper Queenpen, music industry moguls Mark Pitts (pres. Jive Records), Wayne Burrows and a host of others. After learning a great deal about the music industry she landed an executive position as recording artist manager. It was while on a flight from NY to LA that her devotion to writing resurged pillaring the creation of her first of many novels Veil of Friendship. As entertainment manager Kashan realize creative writing was also a form of entertainment. Incorporating the two she decided to further pursue her passion for the art of writing in hopes to one day having her novels premier on major cable networks. One of many sort after picks is Lifetime since most of the stories on the network are relative to real life circumstances similar to many of her novels. Kashan is currently touring the country engaged in conferences, book signings and promotional events at various mainstream and mom & pop bookstores. One of her most passionate projects involves lecturing at inner city schools throughout NYC. During her discussions she emphasizes on the art of creative writing and the literary business while encouraging young people to locate their passion, work hard remain dedicated and never cheat yourself.     “There will be many days when you wake up and simply want to lie back down. I always tell myself. There’s no other way, if I don’t do it certainly no one’s going to do it for me.”
