I am writer of fiction and poems, of essays and features. I have written 12 books in Bengali and 14 books in English. I usually write in English now-a-days, in English dailies, magazines, etc. I am an environmentalist and animal lover, lover of the wild.

Accomplishments
I was awarded Certificate of Competence as a published writer by the Writers Bureau, Manchester, UK and adjudged as the Best Poet for the year 2003 by the Poets International, Bangalore. Besides I am a member of World Poets Society. American Biographical Society has kept my name in their Research Board who offered him the American Order of Merit. He has received Editor’s Choice Published Poet award by the International Library of Poetry, USA and Excellence in World Poetry Award, 2009 by the International Poets Academy. His poems are sometimes displayed at the top or among the first few in some websites, like www.asianamericanpoetry.com , www.poetsindia.com and others.
