By his late-thirties it had become clear to Steve that Artemus Ward was right—sometimes it’s not what we know that can get us into trouble, it’s what we know that just isn’t so. With the black-and-white simplicity of young adulthood behind him, he set out on an intensive journey of inquiry that led to write a self-published, “back-of-the-room” book called Truth-Driven Thinking. Ironically, that book reflexively compelled Steve to even greater levels of epistemological self-examination, and he has subsequently produced DVD’s and multi-media interviews with several bestselling authors, scholars, theologians, and scientists. The  culmination of Stephen Gibson's experiences and journey is expressed in his new novel about the origins, nature, and dangers of fallible human beliefs. In addition to his media work and publications as a so-called "skeptic," Steve is an accomplished scuba diver; a commercial pilot and former flight instructor; and is an avid skier and golfer. Steve is a vocal supporter of public education and is president of his local board of education. He also has consulted for numerous businesses on matters of business development and interpersonal communications, and is a certified distributor of Inscape Publishing’s DISC series of assessment tools.
