I've written a children's book called "Chocolate Chip Beliefs". Actually, there are two versions of the book for one was created as a special "Healing Edition". Where the heck did this come from? Well, I grew up with a bad set of beliefs. It's one of those important little and often overlooked details in life that we tend to create our lives on the basis of our beliefs. We all have our unique stories, in brief, here is mine. I used to hear violins when I thought about this but, yahoo, no longer. When I was four my Dad suffered a very serious heart attack. My Mother, who had just given birth, couldn't handle a baby, a four-year-old, and eight-year-old AND a sick husband. So what to do? She found a family to take care of me. And then another. And another. By the time I returned home for good, I had a good dose of abandonment, separation and low self-esteem. Things got more complex from there. Childhood moves, not feeling accepted, being a minister's kid. Whoa baby, I should write a book about being a minister's kid! In Chocolate Chip Beliefs, the Healing Edition, I've written the book that I wished had existed when I was young. It teaches the wonder "Emotional Freedom Technique" which, even as an adult, has proved so useful to me in finally releasing some old wounds. The Standard Edition works for all other kids in that it teaches how beliefs are sometimes formed and provides a foundation of positive beliefs. A child's mind is like a sponge at ages 4-6; you may as well let them soak up some good beliefs!
