First Edition Translation of Teselas by Carmen Crespo X111 César Simón Poetry Prixe 2016 Translated from Spanish by Robin Ouzman Hislop and Amparo Arrospíde
This collection of poetry addresses the nature of time, reflections on the natural world, the difficulty of loss,
contemporary social issues and gratitude for life.
I come from Milwaukee, by way of Minneapolis, to settle in a neon city of heat. I'm a writer, a poet, and a spoken word artist whose passion is words with a beat. My poetry tells a story; carries a message without being preachy. It tells that dreams do come true, even if one's life didn't start out peachy. I'm a mother of two, a grandmother of two; blessings beyond compare. If you'd like to know more about me, please visit my myspace lair.
