Information
I was born in the Michigan U.P. and grew up with the Finns and Swedes who dominate the area. The Yooper series is a humorous romp through the backwoods of my childhood. Then I had an opportunity to write a mystery about a doll community and chose Phoenix as the setting after living there for several years.

The first backwoods mystery, Murder Passes the Buck, won the mystery category of the Authorlink International First Novel contest and went on to win Best of Show. Dolled Up For Murder was an IMBA paperback bestseller for two months.
