When I wrote ths book in 2000, I was concerned about children having access to the Internet and to chat rooms where "you can be anyone you want." Here we are many years later and the situation with children talking freely to stangers on the Internet

Sailboat racing, fast cars and the military have been the major influences, as well as day to day life experiences. I have a visual style which probably started when my dad gave me a still camera when I was 15. Now the pictures move in front of my camera and are often driven by the words.
