I'm a woman named Stanley Spain. It's a GREAT name. It needed to be in lights or in print. And since I don't act, writing it was! That and the fact that I love books. Even majored in English a million years ago. Twenty five years ago I wrote RAJAC, published by Macmillan in New York and in a total of six language. Great with critics, slow seller. I didn't want to be a one book wonder. And I have long aspired to write a novel of short stories, tied together with a common thread. The result is The Book of Dovey.

I achieved a college degree in my youth. I birthed two well adjusted grown children. My daughter has given me one granddaughter, 20. who is making me a great grandmother AND one grandson, 21 months, adorable and brilliant.
I have had a long and fun life where have tried many jobs, including selling the Ginzu knife.
