In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
I grew up in New Mexico and California. Have traveled exptensively in my life: 49 states in the US, and many times in Asia, Egypt, Europe and Canada. Presently, I work at the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies, the world's premier holistic learning center. My publication history 3 books, two as illustrated poetry books and one as a book on Reiki.
As a poet my primary influence is from the Beat generation/Ginsberg/Corso/etc, including some lesser know poets who I have shared the stage with in open mics around the country, such as Ramu Aki, Donita Parish and Aja Monet.
As a writer of books on Reiki, my influence has a wide range, from writers such as Diane Stein, Michaelle Small-Wright and Robert Masters, and the channeled readings of Edgar Cayce. I have also been influenced by personal shamans I have known: Carolion and John Perkins being the two primary influences.
