Know this now, that you will not take a liking to this book. Plain and simple. You’re going to kick yourself in the ass for buying it, screaming and cursing, demanding your hard-earned cash back immediately.    I won’t sit here and lie to you. This will not be that favorite novel you convinced yourself you’d just sit back with a glass of wine and enjoy, no book-of-the-month masterpiece revered to no end with psalms and praise and most definitely not a New York Times bestseller with unbelievable claims as to how magnificent it is.   There are those who just don’t get it and I’m willing to bet you’re one of those people. This will happen. After all, who understands this sinister world we live in and the pedophiles out there running amuck at every turn? Who wishes to understand the mind of a sexual predator and/or even begin to give second thought as to what that person feels? It’s unthinkable. In a perfect world we aspire to cleanse the streets of these men and women with the same fondness like that of a rodent infestation, but surely these individuals are no different than you and I. Don’t they hold jobs as we do and have families of their own? Aren’t they friends and loved ones, members of our society? I blame the media. They’ve taught us that monsters live amongst us and are no longer a thing of fantasy. I never said it was a perfect world. So go ahead and take a good, hard look next time your neighbor walks past you down the supermarket aisle. Chances are he’s one of them (a lover of children) and because of the same prejudices that have barred him, he’s left with no other choice than to live his life invisible, undetected and found insufferable by fearful minds alike.
